Reaching Nations & Generations
2025 marks a monumental milestone for Cru, also known as Campus Crusade for Christ, as we celebrate 60 incredible years of ministry in the Philippines! The ministry was established here by Frank and Marie Obien who were sent to Manila in 1965.
Since then, a movement started that has shaped hundreds of Filipino missionaries and lay leaders who would spread the Gospel everywhere, reaching campuses, transforming churches, and sending out hundreds of laborers into communities around the world.
We are celebrating this anniversary with the theme: "Nations and Generations." We want to highlight God's priority to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20) and God’s plan of passing on the Gospel from generation to generation through spiritual multiplication (2 Timothy 2:2). For the past 60 years, God has done so much that He has enabled Cru in the Philippines to be instrumental in reaching nations and generations in the past.

Dr. Bill Bright
Campus Crusade for Christ is founded by Bill and Vonette Bright on the UCLA campus.
South Korea
Campus Crusade becomes an international organization, forming a ministry in South Korea.
Philippines
The ministry was established here by Frank and Marie Obien who were sent by Bill Bright to Manila in 1965
I Found It! Campaign
Hundreds of students were mobilized all year round to reach the unreached barangays in the country; many joined as missionaries after college because of that.
Explo '85
Big satellite conference where thousands of pastors and lay leaders were trained and mobilized simultaneously for evangelism and discipleship in more than 100 countries worldwide
New Life Manila
Delegates from 102 countries attend New Life 2000 in Manila, Philippines. During the six-month period, the Gospel is shared with more than 3.3 million Filipinos.
